Hi all, this is my chance to say thanks to every one I have spoken and typed to.
I am 65 and new to real time simulator flying, I have found without exception that every
one on Bob’s server is friendly and helpful, and we get a few laughs in as well.
I have no urge to leave Scotland as I am now quite acclimatised to the Scottish weather,
in fact if I am more than two weeks away from Scotland my webbed feet start cracking and my
neck gills start to heal over. (It’s not that bad honest)
In my younger days I did a lot of RC flying, and the nice thing about “sim” flying is you don’t
need to sneak the broken bits in the back door, or say it’s that faulty radio gear again ?.
With FS2004 I get to watch other pilots fly in all parts of the world, so thank to you all
out there and good flying.

Yet again I just had to let you know I am still flying your servers and looking at your web page,
and I am still getting a great deal of pleasure out of them.
Just to recap my first experience with multi flying.
Around the August 2005 I was getting a bit bored with flying with the AI planes on my FS9, as
they would never say hi or good by to me, not even some kind words like, nice landing Willie or
ok Willie you can land now we have the fire extinguisher and marsh mallows at the ready lol.
So when I came across this free program named FSHostSpy I saw all these servers, they all looked
a bit intimidating to me, but there was two that started with the name Bob and I thought good a name
that sounds nice and friendly and the server had no flyer's on it, so I gave it a go. I followed the
instruction in the chat box and started to try my hand at getting from one airport to another, so
far so good but I really was not sure what I should do or not do, I really was nervous of upsetting
other pilots that might come on to fly, but I had noticed on the FSHostSpy that next to the server
ID was a web site address, so I clicked on it and up it came just the job I thought, it did not seem
too complicated the writing was a nice size the headings seemed to jump out to me with all the things
I wanted to know at that time, like "How to" that was just the thing I was looking
as it gave me an good insight on how to conduct my self on line and not tramp on to many toes.
That got me up and running, and if any flyer's came in I decided that I would just do my thing and
let them get on with it as I did not want to get in the way, but that was not how it worked out.
First thing that happened was in my chat box was the words "Hi Willie" which I was
obliged to answer, and that was it from then on. I got lots of help and encouragement, from other
flyers and got talked into doing and trying things I wanted to experience but did not have the nerve
or confidence to try, yep I was hooked and I was not turning back.
The experience I had and the help I got from the flyer's on your servers in my early times when
it all seamed so daunting, made me want to be helpful to any other new flyer that comes along, and
I get a great deal of pleasure out of it as well (I am on to you guys so that’s how you get your kicks).
But I must confess that what happens with a good server and web page experience is it gives you the
confidence and curiosity to move on to other servers, which is just what happened to me after I got a
lot of help and experience on your server and web page I went on to try other servers and web pages.
But like leaving home I find I just keep coming back for more and looked for all the familiar names
that helped me in the early years, I don’t think I ever officially joined your web page I just seemed
to get adopted and made to feel part of it, and like a member of some old school I meet guy's on other
servers and get all exited because I remember them from my original server and web page experience.
(it’s is a nice feeling)
