Flying Thermals |
|
After you have downloaded and installed the airshow scenery you need to find out exactly where the thermal is.....
2. With a glider, small plane, blimp or whatever you like, fly a cris-cross pattern over the area. When you enter the thermal you will see the nose bump up and your climb rate will increase. When you leave the thermal you will see the nose drop and your climb rate will decrease. Each time this happens mark the spot on your printout. You will soon see a circle of marks that define the area of the thermal.
3. Look for a landmark in the center of the circle.
If you get it trimmed right, you can just sit back and watch her circle and climb.
If Buzzards and Seagulls can do it then so can you.
