Unfortunately some hacker wiped out the AVSIM site. http://www.avsim.com This is horrible news. All the fantastic scenery, aircraft and mods so many people around the globe made and posted. Not for money, but for fun because they liked designing and wanted to share what they made. Great people all of them who have contributed a whole lot to flight simming. Now for some good news. It's time for everyone to get out all your old discs, external drives etc. and make some backup copies. If Avsim does come back, between all of us, we can upload a ton of things back to their site.

I'm going to start tonight posting aircraft files here on this thread so at least they will be available in the meantime. I encourage you guys to do the same. If avsim does come back, they can download everything we have posted here quickly to put back on their library.

A quick note so nobody takes this the wrong way. This is not an attempt to start a new hugh library on here but rather to preserve the files that AVSIM has lost. We can salvage some of it together, especially the 2004 files. If you have the original downloaded zips from AVSIM with readme's and credits post that here. If you don't have the orginal downloaded file, make you the file you post here is complete with ie. guages, effects, docs needed and so forth. Please only post aircraft here so we can keep it organized.

i have a TON of stuff on the old hard drive i'll hook it up this coming week and see what i can salvage
