MATS aircraft requests/ideas

In response to Moo's suggestion of a MATS Corsair, anybody with repainting skill got a link to a DXT/BMP file converter I can begin repainting. I want to try to make a few repaints of possible WW2 Era Weather planes used in Early 1940-1950's.. I dunno if this is a true aircraft but a P-40L renamed to WP-40L would be fun consideration along with tons of others, WP-51H's WF4U1- WF4U7 Series.... Also any other links to nesscary repainting programs/instructions are welcome... along with aircraft suggestions

DXTBMP for opening and saving skins in a variety of formats.

Thanks!!!! I can't wait to try this.... lol May have more questions...But gonna try to do IRIS P-40L in a blaze orange stripes, navy blue and white/silver instead of the black/red/yellow checker board.

CRAP Maybe I'm stupid or is it practically impossible to PAINT with MSPAINT and that DXT/BMP file converter...... Need adobe photoshop or somethin.... gonna get that on new pc.... lol... WP-40L MATS REPAINTS PUT ON HOLD till THEN.

installed the paint.net..... hope this works... LOL i'm new to repainting, tried a Carenado 182Q with mspaint last summer and it didnt work out.... hope i dont screw this one up

FS Repaint from Abacus and PhotoShop.

MATS was 1948-1966, then the name was changed to MAC - Military Airlify Command in 1966. Later changed to AMC around 1992 or so.
As far as fighters, they didn't have any P-40's but they did have these fighters:
F-51's, F-80's, F-84's, F-86, F-89, F-94, F-100's.

Here is a really nice book on MATS loaded with pictures of every plane they had in their fleets.

I heard FS repaint by Abacus ccouldn't repaint ''complex'' aircraft or only worked on some. I dunno if thats true by I don't want to waste money on somethin' that works half of the time.

Photos of the MATS L-20 Beaver, F-51 and B-17/B-25 might be interesting, thanks for the help on this. I'll be lucky if I get this WP-40L done in 1-2 weeks.
